Community Forests of Rogho and Boala, Significant Carbon Sinks in the Center-West Region of Burkina Faso

This study aimed to evaluate the carbon stock potential of community forests Rogho and Boala. The indirect method was adopted estimate above below-ground woody biomass, while integral collection chosen herbaceous biomass. Data collected from 77 circular plots with a radius 18m, which included diameter height plant species within these plots. data analysis that Boala forest produced 2,150.7 t/ha corresponded 1,075.35 carbon, 402.81 201.41 carbon. G1 group had highest amount sequestered 2,327.61 1,163.80 tC/ha. CCEN unit lowest 262.49 131.24 proportion biomass in sites 4.49% 0.8%, respectively. Therefore, there is need strengthen management areas further improve their storage potential.
